Apply now for farm business grants in Wales

October 15, 2018 at 11:21 AM

Farmers and land managers in Wales have until October 26 to apply for a Farm Business Grant (FBG) to help improve the economic and environmental performance of their holdings.

The grant scheme provides a 40 per cent contribution towards capital investments in equipment and machinery that have been pre-identified as offering clear and measurable benefits to farm enterprises.

“The maximum grant awarded will be £12,000 and the minimum will be £3,000,” said Sarah Wedge, land agent with Davis Meade Property Consultants at Oswestry.

“This is the fifth round of the FBG and farmers have until October 26 to make an Expression of Interest through Rural Payments Wales (RPW).”

Items include feed bins, handling equipment, cattle crush, heat detection systems, EID devices and many more.  A full list of items can be seen by following the link below:

“There is scope to apply for more than just one window, subject to conditions, therefore if you were successful in previous windows you may be eligible to apply again,” she added.
