Call for development sites in Denbighshire

August 15, 2018 at 8:30 AM

Land and property owners in Denbighshire with land that may be suitable for development are being invited to put forward sites for possible inclusion in the new Local Development Plan (LDP).

Denbighshire County Council ‘Call for Candidate Sites’ started on August 6 and landowners, developers and any others with an interest in land in the county can now submit suggested sites for future development.

“This is an opportunity for people to contribute their ideas and sites for future housing and employment development in the county,” said Kathryn Williams, a chartered surveyor with Davis Meade Property Consultants.

“The submission of ‘candidate sites’ for consideration does not imply that the site is suitable for development and all candidate sites will undergo stringent assessment procedures to determine their suitability for further consideration as part of the LDP process.

“All requested forms and maps must be completed in full in order to be considered and sites which have been allocated in the current LDP must be submitted again at this stage if they are now to be considered for inclusion in the new LDP,” she explained.

All site submissions must be received by 5pm on November 28. Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted.

Guidance and forms for submitting a candidate site are available on the Local Development Plan page of the council’s website at www.denbighshire.gov.uk or for advice and help with an application contact Kathryn Williams or Sarah Wedge at Davis Meade Property Consultants on 01691 659658 or email kathrynwilliams@dmpcuk.com or sarahwedge@dmpcuk.com
