Conwy seeks views to help shape future

January 11, 2019 at 10:52 AM

Conwy County Borough Council is reviewing its Local Development Plan and has put together two consultation papers.

Consultation Paper 1 will outline the priority issues facing Conwy and suggests a vision and set of objectives for the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP).

Consultation Paper 2 – outlines the strategic growth level, the settlement hierarchy and the spatial distribution.

Views are being sought to help prepare for the next stage of the RLDP preparation which is the Preferred Strategy.

Copies of the document(s) can be inspected during normal office hours at Coed Pella, Conway Road, Colwyn Bay and viewed on the Conwy County Borough website

“The consultation period is now open and will close at 16:45 on Friday January 25, 2019,” said Eifion Bibby of Davis Meade Property Consultants.

“This is an opportunity for people to contribute their ideas to shape the future of their county and suggest any areas of land that may be suitable for development in the future,” he said.

Comments can be made online at or by completing and returning a comments form either via email to or via post to the council office, PO Box 1, Conwy.
