July 14, 2020 at 11:05 AM

The UK Government has launched Phase 1 of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF).  The funding programme will support businesses with high energy use transition to a low carbon future and reduce their emissions through increased energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

The Phase 1 funding for England, Wales and Northern Ireland will open in July and is worth up to £30 million.

Funding is available in the form of a grant scheme for:

  • the deployment of mature energy efficiency technologies that improve industrial process energy efficiency and reduce energy demand
  • feasibility and engineering studies for projects deploying mature energy efficiency or deep decarbonisation technologies.

For further information including Phase 1 guidance for applicants, please visit the Gov.UK website.

IETF Phase 1 online stakeholder events

In collaboration with the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Innovate UK are organising two IETF briefing webinars on 14 and 20 July 2020.

These webinars are intended to help businesses understand more about the Fund, the competition scope and eligibility criteria and the support available from IUK and KTN. The events will be of interest to manufacturing companies, data centres and energy efficiency and decarbonisation innovators and professionals.
