Slurry Investment Grant
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

 

DEFRA has announced the long-awaited Slurry Investment Grant will be open for applications from 6th December 2022

 

The grant is:

 

  • This grant is only available for slurry stores located in England

 

  • Available to help replace, build additional or expand existing slurry stores to provide 6 months’ storage

 

  • For slurry stores including tanks, lagoons and concrete stores and items necessary for the basic functioning of new or expanded slurry stores, such as reception pits, slurry pumps and agitators

 

  • Based on standard costs-you will get a fixed contribution towards the cost of the items you need (minimum of £25,000, maximum of £250,000)

 

The Slurry Investment grant uses standard costs. You will get a fixed contribution towards the cost of the items you need and the storage you plan to build.

 

The grant helps farmers invest in future-proofed slurry infrastructure. This will help to:

 

  • make better use of organic nutrients

 

  • improve water quality

 

  • improve air quality

 

  • reduce greenhouse gases

 

There will be future opportunities to apply for this grant if your project is not selected in the first round.
